Please don't just say, "Thank you for reading, and then never return a read".

Give a read if possible to those who take the time to read yours.

Even the doggie is reading

though the book is upside down

It is a little bit deflating to the

ego of a reader/writer

to inflate your ego by reading your story

only to be ignored

It's as if the recipient of the read

counts not the time and effort

of the party who did read

If you don't return a read

you are denying yourself further reads

by the turned off reader

one hand washes the other

and all that jazz

Better to jump to a read

and not comment

than say 'thanks' and not

return a read.

Be kind, be supportive.

Yes, we know it's not always

possible...but

do your best.

Never be too successful here

not really needing the reads

of strangers.

Remember that you were once

where they are now.

Well said! Sometimes it gets overwhelming, but we really should do our best.

Congratulations on placing third on this week's leaderboard for Best Emerging Creator! This is such an amazing poem, but what is actually says is the real crux of the matter at heart.

  • I have recommended this as a Top Story in this week's "Raise Your Voice" here https://todaysurvey.today/resources/raise-your-voice-thread-10-17-2024%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/a%3E%3C/p%3E%3C/div%3E%3C/div%3E%3C/div%3E%3Cdiv class="css-w4qknv-Replies">

Totally agree. Reciprocate that’s what builds this community

  • Yes, some people should learn how to reciprocate. I'm glad you wrote this. Whoever finds this shoe to fit should wear it!

I had to look again when you mentioned that the book was upside down lol I am powered by two cups of coffee to get my reads in for today, I have a whole system set up, so many talented people on here, you most definitely included. I still can’t forget Royally Scrooged, I have my eyes on Pretty in Pink too, I believe it’s in my saved section. I couldn’t resist this one because of the title, hopefully lots of us will see this because sometimes we really do need to be reminded.

Agree. I try to not reply until I have a moment to return the read.

  • I know the feeling , so at least I will give you a read here, and thank you for all the reads and comments you give me
