Prophet of an age

Current state of the world

Living in a city of fallen angels

What am I to do

Every night I put my hands together

Lord, I pray to you

I’ve walked these roads alone for so long

My bitter voice hushed

Silent as a mouse with each step, with each breath

But I’ve seen so much

Cold and dark is this world, full of violence and lies

Long here I have survived

But look at my face and the river of tears I’ve cried

At times I’ve almost died

But even with all the wickedness in this world

I have seen some light

Even among all the chaos and havoc

There are those who do right

So, I shall not lose hope

Even among the flames

In the distance I see clouds

And so, I’ll pray for rain.
