Her battle doesn’t stop here
The war, it never ends
She tends to hide her fears
Her love never bends
She’s seen it all and came out strong
Her power is insane
It was deep in her all along
Now it cannot be tamed
She did it all for her kids
So they would not know her broken heart
Now she rests her weary lids
She was whole from the very start.
She learned to mother her own inner child
To sit with her when she fell apart
To hold that girl who once ran wild
And whisper softly to her heart
She doesn’t silence tears anymore
She lets them fall, then lets them be
The pain that once lived at her core
Is now the root of empathy
She built a home where laughter stays
Where tiny feet run through the hall
She turns her ache to brighter days
And answers every midnight call
No child of hers will question love
No child of hers will beg to stay
She became what she dreamed of
And chose that path every day
A steady love stands at her side
The kind that never walks away
He sees the storm she used to hide
And loves her softer every day
Not because she needed saving
Not because she played a part
But because the woman she is becoming
Is the bravest form of heart
She stands; not hardened, but aware
No longer begging to be seen
The little girl is safe in there
And that is what surviving means
The war may hum beneath her skin
But it no longer owns her art
She did not lose. She did not bend.
She broke the cycle at the start.
