Risk
And The Game Of Life

Life, all of it risk.
Each breath, torment or a gift
One of its kind; unlike anything else
Can’t un-spend, what's been spent
*
Belonging or connected to
Yet, similarly uncommon
Designed for purposeful gains
Some beautiful, some rotten
*
Unique and distinctive
Fragile yet resilient
Helpful and vindictive
Some polite and some indignant
*
Goals and desires, don’t matter much
One step and then the next
Remaining rare is near impossible
Be happy with being your best

Words opposite and then a final lift in meaning is very nice in this one.
I loved the thought and the contrast in this. The ending opened up to me like a beautiful butterfly. :) Well done!
Very nicely done.
