Saviour...

Poetry

By waqar jameelPublished 5 years ago 1 min read

I saw your face, it shone so bright

I felt your love, that you brought to life.

But I also saw the pain,

Hidden inside your eyes.

I came closer to you,

It got harder for me to breathe.

I wished to dive deeper,

deeper inside your blood,

I hoped to taste all the sour

that covered your sweetness.

I wanted to build a bridge,

to bring you up to me

and to destroy all the walls

that kept you away from me.

I wanted to take back

all the lies you told me.

Take them back for you

and take them out of me.

Now, am trying

trying so hard,

to show you what you showed me.

That mesmerizing thing I saw up on your face,

and that pure and courageous love,

that you planted in me.

Now no pain is allowed here,

no more shared miseries.

We no more need masks,

No more fake wrappings.

I will help you my dear

because I found you worthy.

So, don't worry about the world,

don't worry about life.

Don't you worry about death

and hell.

Because there is only heaven,

And I will be your saviour...
