Sense

🤍

By River and Celia in Underland Published about a year ago Updated about a year ago 1 min read
Bleak. A Celia Wander.

All clear-

It makes sense.

Right?

Sense.

No.

Not really.

At all.

Not when you validate

Sense

In the abstract of logic.

Logic.

Funny, really—

Aren’t we all just slicing

Ourselves to get by,

Tracing the scars of our own

Disillusionment?

Realising—

The cuts don’t

Heal.

They reopen

Every time

A rapist walks

Free

Through the door of

Power.

Racists.

Born with -

Connections.

Sick.

Knowing.

The justice

We swallowed whole—

Forced down as kids,

Like brussels sprouts,

Choking

Dumb with trust—

Drunk on innocence-

The truth

We sought-

Believed in.

Like a fairy tale.

Is nothing but

A petri dish.

of

Corruption,

Multiplying.

Daily.

Yes, this was a poignant read, Celia. Everything that troubles the world indeed defies logic.

I didn’t think your work could get any better…… wow! A Petri dish of corruption, multiplying. Holy moly. This was so good.

Pisses me off how true this is. And when you hear them speak of being the party of law and order, I just want to scream.

Very well-said. I'm so tired of the injustice. It smells like boiling brussels sprouts, too.

I'll take brussel sprouts over racist rapists any day. The things we are expected to just take, eh?

This is as powerful and necessary as it is anger-triggering! Eloquently said, pal!
