Shoulder of Home Base
Suddenness of legacy’s landing…
By Rowan Finley Published 5 months ago • Updated 5 months ago • 1 min read

eye drops
drip upward
then down
sounds
of refraction
turn action
just a hair
of a fraction
eyelid gleams
it seems
for now
or for today
at least
and patiently
breeze flirts for
tomorrow
and a sparrow
slides onto
the shoulder
of home base
leaving legacy
of words
that swim
in the deep
of its
rather large
surprising mind
to a world
of records

This has an up and down, back and forth flow which I think matches what Komal said about it also conveying a heaviness and lightness
It looks kinda like a hot air balloon that would use a flirty breeze to leave its own legacy of words 😊✨
This one feels like it carries both weight and lightness. Sometimes words perch quietly then end up flying the farthest. ✨
Nice and surreal. I like the illustration, like a peacock feather.
