Sitting here underneath the summer sun

Sipping on strawberry lemonade

Wishing it was spiked with something more

Strumming my six string

Singing into the wind

***

Wishing you were here

But I don’t want to fight no more

Thinking back to yesteryear

When we danced on the promenade

Laughing under the midnight moon

***

Stuck my feet in the water

Frigid cold, ice running down my spine

Like your steely voice

On a cold winter’s day

Just another imitation lie

***

Wishing you were here

But I don’t want to fight no more

Thinking back to yesteryear

When we danced on the promenade

Kissing under the midnight moon

***

Silky sheets; smooth talker

Razor sharp, silver tongue

Broken vows; pierced heart

Another night: fallin’ apart

***

Push the curtain aside

Stare out the window, waiting

For endings and beginnings

Six strings and broken dreams

Close my eyes and watch you fade

***

Another midnight moon

Another year around the sun

Wishing you were here

But I don’t want to fight no more

I don’t want to fight no more

***

Hi Everyone!

I haven’t had much time to write, but I’ve missed it fiercely! Here’s my latest. It’s a bit harsh and more about struggles in life than those in my life.

I hope to get back to writing as life settles down again! KA Stefana

You really bring the reader on a journey - starting in a vivid, sensory present, into a deeper story of loss and struggle. Enchanting and deeply feeling work, KA!

  • A lot of cutting lines there, I hope you are ok. Excellent work
