Mental Illness Makes Sleep Hard

I'm tired but I can't sleep at night.

Will I ever win this fight?

I have no courage inside me,

at least there's none that I see.

Other people say it's there,

I just never have found where.

Anxiety and depression within my bones.

I feel trapped within these zones.

I just want to sleep

without needing to weep.

This is heartbreakingly true, honest, and still with hope of wholeness.
