Slow Down

Rest to Restore

By Sherie RamosPublished about 15 hours ago 1 min read

You’re going too fast little one,

Ask your heart if this is sustainable.

You’re absorbing too much little one,

Check with your brain and body if it is containable.

You love others with everything you have little one,

But you self loathe and you brood.

The world will give you plenty of battles to fight little one,

So please stop your internal feud.

Your body and soul are oh so tired little one,

And yet you insist on being strong.

But what good is strength when you don’t have health?

A flame comes in hot…but only lasts so long.

Slow it down little one, this pace- it makes you blue.

Be as kind to yourself as you are to you baby, he is counting on you.

Relax yourself little one, you don’t always have to be at your best.

But you do have to be consistent, little one, please give yourself some rest.
