The sun shines bright upon this winter day;

Each glowing drop of springtime shining down

And most the snow has melted all away

Within this tired and lonely little town.

I've never met a day I couldn't judge;

Even the best of days hides something foul

I've never been the type to hold a grudge

So on this day I've no reason to scowl.

But even then I hate to cry defeat

So frown away the day is all I do

Write essays and fuck with my school spreadsheet

Send emails and hope they are replied to

I've never liked the work involved in school

It seems to me unhelpful, crude, and cruel.
