Sometimes I Feel Like Superman
Reach out and hold on to hope

Sometimes, I feel like Superman.
Like I, too, draw strength
from the warmth of our yellow sun.
This makes winter hard --
the shorter days and long expanse of nights.
Piled onto that, life circumstances -—
like current events, loss anniversaries,
and family dynamics -—
can start to feel like bits of Kryptonite,
draining life away from me.
It's important to remember that,
when faced with Kryptonite,
even Superman has to ask for help.
Reaching out makes him no less Superman.
It doesn't change his identity,
but it does save his life.
Don't be afraid to reach out
if you're needing help.
Your life is worth it.
So is mine.
Let's be Super together.
