Stardust Reverie

— a psychedelic trip through inner space

I slipped between the cracks of thought,

Where time is bent and lines are not.

The ceiling melted into sound,

And gravity forgot the ground.

My fingers grew like willow trees,

They danced with stars on liquid seas.

The moon was humming in D♭,

And asked me where my head was at.

I sipped the sky—it tasted red,

With notes of cinnamon and dread.

A comet laughed and winked my way,

Then dipped into a cloud of clay.

My heartbeat turned into a drum,

Each thump a verse, each pause a hum.

The colors spoke in loops and rings—

They whispered names of secret things.

The mirror showed a thousand eyes,

Each blinking truths and telling lies.

I asked it, “Who am I in here?”

It said, “A thought that learned to steer.”

The world bent back to shades of gray,

The visions packed and slipped away.

But still I hum that silent tune—

A song I caught beneath the moon.
