there is a quiet house that glows in the night all across the world
and you can see it if you squint—those large, golden windows, pretty firelight lanterns flickering beyond the panes
even as the rest of the world sits back in the dusk, dancing in the sightless night,
this house will shine; this house has been made a home for light in the dark
and all who make a home within the glowing house basked in orange lantern light will be warmed by its embrace
they will be beyond belonging, smiling at the shadows, crawling across the moon
splayed against the sky like starlight itself

I feel like I am immediately sucked into a story 😍 Sightless night. Love this description. 👌🏾 I like how you lingered on the thought. The message of how this house has light, apart from the dark. And then the security of being inside the home, while the shadows linger outside. This brought me great feelings of bliss. Outstanding work, Angela 🤗❤️🖤
Beautiful imagery!! I loved it!
Your title reminded me of Starlight Manor hehehe. Loved your poem!
We all deserve our place to shine. The imagery here is beautiful.
When I walk or drive by houses and it’s dark outside and you see the glowing lights from within I always wonder who lives there and what are they doing right now? Are they having dinner? Are they watching TV or putting their kids to bed? Nice poem!
Very pretty.
gorgeous work, Angela!
