Still

Shh! Give it a minute.

Soft blankets of silence slowly covers the town

A needed break from the constant crowd

A moment to think and hide inside

A deep breath taken to calm one's mind

A spot in a corner that's all yours

A beautiful skyline while the rain pours

The sound of the waves as they hit the shore

To be satisfied with what you have without asking for more

A soft, warm sunshine in the middle of the day

A fragrant flower in the middle of May

And when it all ends to find some peace

Without having to ask what it all means
