I’m standing on the edge of a world I barely know
Wondering when you’ll take my hand
Asking for the mysteries to save me from my own soul
Lost between the middle and the end
Holding on to a rope that has no end
Wanting to be let inside again
Is there anywhere I can turn and feel understood
Is there anywhere I can begin
I am lost and indecisive
Standing knee deep in a river that keeps on flowing
I know when I need it most
The world will never be enough for me
Sometimes I can barely breathe
Looking to the stars
I wonder where we really are
Not quite the end or even the beginning
I know
There’s so much more for me to do
I’m walking along side you
Take my hand
We won’t be lonely again

Ah, the hope & longing in this one. But if your hand is never taken...?
The first two lines of your poem hit me with all the feels possible. There is so much unsaid in them! Wow!
Hey, just want to let you know I shared this poem in my recent story: https://todaysurvey.today/journal/poppy-s-preferences-pt4%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/a%3E%3C/p%3E%3C/div%3E%3C/div%3E%3C/div%3E%3Cdiv class="css-w4qknv-Replies">
