Summer days of healing.
The 500 Reads Haiku Challenge by Carolina Borges.

Balm for summer days
Babbling brook...Cool waters
Toes dipped...Heavenly!

I recently went on an uphill walk on a trail which led to a gorgeous cascading waterfall. I was sweating from the get-go, the sun came our after a bit of rain and all the younger folks were far ahead, impatiently (in a fun way) egging me on. Imagine my joy and happiness to see a babbling brook of cool water galloping along the many stones without a care in the world.
Still, I had to keep up with the younger uns and wait until we got to the top of this uphill mother of an uphill climb before I could dip my toes into the cool welcoming stream.
What a wonderful day it was, the waterfall and the stream...pure delight.
