The taste of summer dances on my tongue
A mix of heady flavours creating memories
Of days spent frolicking and having fun
Stored forever in my personal treasury
The strawberries and cream eaten on the lawn
With nothing to do but enjoy the present moment
Drinking sparkling wine on the beach until dawn
Watching the fireflies in an intricate waltz
The barbecued chicken and salty halloumi cheese
Sizzling sausages and burgers on long summer Sundays
The doctor said it was stage three and aggressive
When clouds drift above in the gentle summer breeze
I know I will cherish these days always
The endless nights and days full of love

Why is it so hard to write about myself? That's where I get writer's block!
In short, I am a writer, dreamer, and a cancer survivor writing about a wide range of things, fiction and non-fiction, whatever happens to interest and inspire me.
