I was lucky enough to be in Tahiti during the Billabong pro surf comp in 2014. This was taken on the finals day, moments after Medina took down Kelly Slater. It was probably the most amazing weeks of my life. I still can’t believe I saw this scene with my mortal eyes and I especially love the cheeky little wave in the background. This photo makes me feel lucky to be alive!
