Empty in the middle of the room
It was just waiting
Wondering if there was anything important
Could it be thinking?
It remained still
Nobody really knew what it needed
Would anybody turn up?
It could go on like this for days
If nothing happened it didn't matter
It would just sit and stare
Even if nobody was there
It didn't consider this unfair
After all it was just a chair
