And we saw the people below us
As the Ferris wheel had stopped,
At the top, we lingered in looking
At the top, before the drop.
I remember being angry
And not sure that you were mine,
Though the ring was on your finger
And we had escaped time.
I remember questioning everything
And feeling for your hand,
As love and laughter was a height
That neither of us could stand.
But then the drop pushed forward
And we fell again in love,
Live radio pushed us closer
And our fear now dissolved.
The greatest thing you’ve ever done
Is treat me like a King,
In the mellows of sadness
In fires as they swing.
We could see the city
The new place we now called home,
And since then I have never once
Felt I am alone.
