Damp walls echo dripping tears,
Dark and shadow driving fears,
Death hath come to all before,
Our departing march shall be forevermore,
By Consul's command, we sell our lives,
The Guardian blessing our last ride,
Wills were written and affairs done,
Before we all faced death as one,
The captains are fools to fight in the dark,
The devils will rid their home of our steel and spark,
Nine thousand souls with an order, doomed,
Our fates known but never exhumed,
Yet courage and passion fill our final hours,
We'll break their endless sea with our steel tipped towers.
About the Creator
Marty Res
"We all live on borrowed time, which is what gives our lives meaning. To waste life would be a travesty."
Writing poetry and fantastical stories is my way of coping with the world. It's my hope others may enjoy them, to escape for a while.
