The lost phrases

A confused child

By The Lost PhrasesPublished 4 years ago 1 min read

Spring was lost in confusion

Flashback of pain and hurt come often

My burden was to be the eldest daughter for a cultured family

My earliest memory begin with a lump in throat

It’s understood my only purpose on this land,

Is to keep my family’s dignity intact

At a tender age of 8, love and affection were unfamiliar

The child in me was long gone; the woman in me was confused

How do I make them happy like my brothers do? I ponder

Never had the right answer for this question

Little did I know;

I was destined to be the Honor Killer

Summer came with a glee of hope

I could break free and share the sun

A young man promised me the world

A world filled with warmth and love

One heart aching for love met another

Together they created a beautiful song

Life was meaningful and the world a happy place
