The moments, prior.

For on this path of where I tread,

The skies should cover with a veil,

And all of which I surely dread,

Brought upon by the touch of betrayal,

Neither fear nor anxious thoughts,

Should be the hinderance to prevail!

For in the moments prior to the fight,

Let faith be the factor to entail!

The constant recollection of what was,

By the uncertainty of what could be,

May it never be the stumbling block towards the here and now,

For the path that is sure to be.

For in the scorn of thunder,

And the moments of lingering night,

We either choose to be still and push forward,

Or falter before the breaking of daylight...
