The Light Turns
It's Tuesday 7:13 a.m. A cold and clear November morning awaits Ray on his morning commute. Ray rubs his hands together in the front seat of his Subaru. He turns the air temperature up, but keeps the air on low until the air warms up. He looks at the backup camera screen and reverses the Subaru out of his driveway onto Trimble Road.

This was so poignant and emotional! So beautifully written!
This is nice. I'd think about changing: "I really hope you're listening" to something like: I hope you can hear. Just because of the redundancy of the word listening. You may want to try something like this with an experimental structure. With the lines that answer back what if they were right justified? Visually some tet a tet may be a way to show this interaction.
