The Question

It felt like one minute I was all alone and then the next you were here

Before then darkness was setting upon me and my own company was my shadow that lagged behind

You smiled that contagious smile causing the sun to rise around me

Forcing me to open my eyes and welcome you, an unrequested but fulfilling invasion to my surprise 

I took one deep breath, had no idea what was going on 

Wanting to take the next few steps for fear kept me walking backwards all along

What you have brought into my life is hard to describe

Feels like I am on an airplane..soaring high

Oh how the thought of flying and heights scare me!

But, it is the adventure to that place…..that amazing place that galvanizes me

What place I speak of you may ask? 

I must say I don’t know but where ever it is I am willing to make it part of my future and not live in the past

It seems like this has been a long adventure so I count the days over and over again to prove it right to me

Time has taken a different meaning..no longer being dictated by days or hours or minutes or seconds

Time with you feels like it’s never ending and filled with new beginnings

I don’t know what tomorrow will bring and sometimes I wish that today would be yesterday and tomorrow would be like today

I always say that time will tell what tomorrow keeps a secret but would tomorrow’s secret be the same if we made changes to today?

I must admit that there are points in time when I have visions of us walking side by side but then at certain instances everything becomes blurry creating a gap in our journey

In its place there is only darkness..just the unknown and it leads me to wonder

Feels like my limbic system is on overdrive with an array of mixed emotions

Leaving me with so many questions..

First being how do you feel?
