The Spider's Daughter
for "The Unnecessary Line" challenge
The spider’s perfect daughter
Spun and wove and tucked and sewed
Webs of flawless, neat proportions
That could handle every load.
The spider’s perfect daughter
Wove a web for her abode,
That all the spiders did admire,
And her praises they bestowed.
The spiders perfect daughter
Never ever ever ever slowed,
Hardworking every minute,
If I sit still with the silence, I think my head might just explode.
The spider’s perfect daughter
Spun and wove and tucked and sewed
Webs of flawless silken beauty,
That in golden sunlight glowed.
The spider’s perfect daughter
Then a gentle smile bestowed;
And worked hard to please her family,
And tucked and wove and spun and sewed.

This is so intense and so beautiful. I loved the cycling repetition of "The spider's perfect daughter". This is really amazing work!
That one line carried so much of the poem. Wonderful work! :)
Marvel vs DC comics 😂🦹♀️🦸♀️
I love how the daughter's inner thoughts break the pattern of the poem, and it broke my heart to see the cycle resume again ;((
