This world is not mine
I am only passing through
The corridors and streets seem unfamiliar
This is a life I don’t belong to
At sunrise, I long for the night
And in the darkness, I yearn for the day
I contemplate my every step
Because time won’t let me have another say
I leave a mark on every surface I touch
Because the future won’t allow me to return
One day my memory will fade in the wind
One day my fire will cease to burn
One day I will regret the things I never did
And all the words I never spoke
Until then I’m just a traveler
Accompanied by fear and hope
About the Creator
Mzingaye Ndubiwa
Just a writer and a poet, documenting life.
