The Worker

Lost in a world of numbers

Doing my job as fast as I can to prove myself in the end

My nose to the grinder doing my best even in disappointment

Pumping out the work trying to make rate fast

No one noticed but must put up to keep my job best

Show up every day, do as the bosses say

Never complain and work till I am done in the day

Watched behind the computer screens as perfect comfort brings

Counted as a cog in the group of many deep bogs

Lost in numbers never seen as a human being

Clock is ticking and work is dropping

Just a number on a page for the bosses to see

Vanished from all existence

Just another machine
