If I stole all the light streaks that glittered from the bolts that seared me once upon a time

Remembering how I formed the feelings into letters and words that had reason and rhyme

So maybe I could explain to you why

I'm crying all the time

I just miss those lights and those bright nights

With the howling of the wind whistling through the air and whipping my hair

Empty spaces and tight embraces and raspy voices in my ears

Something to streak into my skin until it's layered with a million sears

So that all of the panic and worry and fear

And all of the glitter that shone through my tears

Melted away into the warm embrace of just knowing that you
