Seeing the world through the eyes of a dog
Seems like nothing but gray, but fog
And yet some days I know
Whether or not it’s shown
That I see gray as well
“The color is right there”
They say,
“It’s impossible to miss”
And yet, although they hide it,
They know this abyss
But a dog knows no different
And the life they live is current
They care not of future days
Oh, just simply bask in yellow rays
Of the glowing sun
And sure, some days I see it all
Every orange, or green, or red
The hues melt themselves into my brain
So the next time that I see gray
I can dream of them again
Oh, I’ve coughed up all my insides
My head, with yours, collides
And I know you have color too
Don’t you?
That’s nothing to hide
Canine that lye next to me
Sometimes we share our eyes
We see blue, yellow, gray, and brown
Although, some days are solid gray
Other days, the rainbow is my playground
Now it’s time to break from writing
As the colors today are fighting
Monochromatic Earth stands no chance
My dog and I, how we shall dance
In the sea of color
