Times Up

Say It Plainly

I feel bad, but not bad

I can't mourn what never was

I'm not mad, but I'm mad

At the discourse you cause

Cause you seem to find pleasure

In stirring up hate

Ruffling the feathers

While your ego inflates

You'd better enjoy your spotlight

Your fifteen minutes of fame

A premadonna on prom night

Before it all gets reclaimed

Cause the tides, they are turning

Crashing down on your games

All those bridges you're burning

Are now consumed by the flames

And you have run out of options

No more puppets to spare

You've spewed your last toxin

Turns out, nobody cares

About your hateful agenda

Or the wars that you caused

No one will even remember

There will be no applause

So take that rock you've been wielding

And crawl back into your hole

Your methods are unappealing

So I will just pray for your soul
