A fissure of light breaks
across the room—
Crystals rise like a congregation
summoned without a deity.
They hover and shift,
each speck
the letters of your name.
Unspoken.
Turning.
Time has yet to be confined.
The whole room
oscillates
between dance and memory.
You reach out—
not to touch,
but to see if your hand
still exists.
It doesn’t.
Only the light,
and the things that shimmer in it,
half-born,
unclaimed,
nearly holy.
But not quite.
Tomorrow
you will decide.
For now
you will stay.
Caught —
Turning
between
fragments of certainty—
like dust.
Or truth.
Or the nothing in between.

Wooohooooo congratulations on your win! 🎉💖🎊🎉💖🎊
Circling back around to say congrats on Runner-Up in the Light breaks challenge R&C!! 💚
Beautifully surreal. This is outstanding work. Well done!
I am in awe of the concerted power of the two magnificent minds from Vocal's power duo. This poem is a poem and a half (and then a billion more halves, haha). This is something ethereal, and you've crafted it beautifully like the master wordsmiths you are 💛
This is gorgeously brilliant, ladies <3
This left like the uncertainty of being in limbo, possibly over a decision or something other worldly! Loved this C&R!!
Absolutely stunning.
Oh this is just so serene and beautiful.
Beautiful… And a great example for the challenge!
I love the imagery here!
That moment of daily choice, celebrated and sanctified. Hushed beauty and wonder
Stunning images 🥰
This one is up my alley. Loved the imagery and the mysteries. Reminds me of my old meditation group. ☺️
