You are not meant to be a prodigy of everything
Release that bondage of expectations
That chain of perfection
~
For it’s been tying you down
It’s been limiting your actions
It’s been putting you in a box
And latched you with heavy locks
~
For every day, we have a lesson to learn
A realization to reap
A chance to change
A hope for healing
And growth for greatness
~
There are areas in your life that you’re lacking
And you need others to fill that
Just as you also do to theirs
With or without you knowing it
You, being imperfect is what makes the perfect you
~
Your scars make you beautiful
Your failures strengthen you
Your tears give you courage
Your downs push you up
~
Because the truth is, we are all work in progress
We are like clay, being molded every day
Like a pencil, being sharpened in every way
For the wisdom of growth
Can come from unbecoming
From leaving some baggage that wears us down
And from widening our horizons to a new adventure
~
If you’re in your 30s and still unsure of what to do in your life
It’s okay, you’ll soon figure it out.
No pressure, just be you.
~
If you’re in a job that maybe you don’t like
It’s okay, as long as it pays the bills for now
While you slowly craft your way to a job that you’re passionate about
~
If you’re in a state of being lost
It’s okay, be kind to yourself and face the day
You’re stronger and wiser than yesterday
~
You don’t have to do it all today
There is tomorrow
And every new day welcomes rays of hope
Hang in there, my friend ❤️
