UNFAIR LOVE

On loving without return What silence taught me

By _a_whisper_of_sorrowPublished 6 months ago 1 min read

Unfair love...

At first, he had a problem with my little ways,

Now even my poetry has started to displease.

He used to ask, “Why are you always so silent?”

Now he’s offended by every word I release.

I once wished to show him the mirror of my heart,

But now even my truth seems to bring him unease.

He said, “Speak up, let your soul be heard,”

Yet now my silence feels like peace compared to these.

My habits were simple, my words were kind,

I never changed — but he turned into someone else, it seems.

Was it ever love, or just a stubborn game?

Now every moment of silence echoes with parting dreams.

Thank you for reading!
