Unwound

and wounding

Cry me a river, weep me an ocean—

And I will capture your act in slow motion.

Layer by layer, portion by portion,

Meanings unravel themselves. Feelings unreel.

But in my incredulity, I doubt if they're real.

I question myself beyond and within;

I question your honesty.

I'm trying, I'm honestly

Trying to trust us. Shyly and modestly,

I'm catching your soft breath.

What are you? Are you Life? Are you Death?

The cause for unrest, my cardiac arrest,

The bullet right through my chest.

A gust of fresh air,

So foul and so fair,

The most welcome guest.

Intimately conflictual battle with hope, trust, reality, and so much else. Really good rattled rapping, and very appropriate song to accompany it.

Intriguing word play. You should be a rapper! I just cannot seem to get the overall theme here? Maybe I’m not supposed to. Don’t get me wrong- I like to be challenged though! 😊👍 Feeling any better?

  • This was sooooo deep and powerful! It felt to liberating to me!

  • The uncertainty, hope & abruptly shifting longing in this, Andrei, so poignantly expressed.

This holds such a tentative position with such a significant impact at the same time.
