Wasteland

liars liars, one and all

no truth, forked tongue

lip service to appease

it’s all a load of dung

lies beguile, create illusion

useless falsities, baseless foundation

a future’s inheritance without basis

consequences of unknown duration

integrity, honor, no longer live

powerful voices, turned unreliable

devaluing of ones character

deceits cause evil, undeniable

a character lost, a victim betrayed

giver, receiver, reduced to ash

both suffer effects of deception

loneliness preferential, than lying trash

lie, lie, to me, you’re dead

no truth, no association

your nearness an abhorrence

abandoned to lies’ degradation
