We watched the towers fall

while they were crushed by hate,

but our aching wake-up call,

could not seal our fate.

We heard our people cry

amid the tragedy

that betrayed the trust

of a whole country!

But we can take the blow.

We can remain strong.

We can take the blow.

We won’t be down for long.

For certain, we know

our country will still grow.

We can take the blow.

The free world shook

at the serpent’s call.

Could our innocence

make our nation fall?

They thought they had us beat.

Their reign of terror flowed

that slashed through our heart

and ripped into our souls.

But we can take the blow.

We can remain strong.

We can take the blow.

We won’t be down for long.

For certain, we will know

our country STILL will grow.

We can take the blow!
