We Don't Love Here Anymore

And never will again

By Julie O'Hara - Author, Poet and Spiritual WarriorPublished 5 years ago Updated 2 years ago 1 min read

My suitcase is in the hallway

And my clothes are packed inside

There’s a U-haul in the driveway

So now it’s time to say good-bye

The house feels so empty

There’s not even a rug on the floor

Baby, can you tell me just why

We don’t love here anymore?

Because it looks like we don’t love here anymore

And we never will again

The love that we once shared

Somehow, we let come to an end

I thought this home would be ours forever

But today we are closing the door

On all the dreams we’ve left here

We don’t love here anymore

I remember the good times spent on this porch

The memories were just so damn beautiful then

But now, there’s a “for sale” sign out front

We won’t ever love here again
