When Basic Needs Are Denied
Psychology will tell how dangerous unmet motivations can be

Don’t Encourage Crimes in the Name of Virtue
A self-proclaimed guru,
a preacher of ethics,
was found to have
an illicit relation with a woman.
He was labeled a criminal,
he was shoved into jail.
The trust of people eroded.
But when that happened,
can we blame him entirely?
Living beings want physical intimacy
to perpetuate life—
even bugs and reptiles do.
Humans are complex organisms,
and they definitely need it.
Look into psychology
how dangerous and self-sabotaging
unmet motivations can be!
Parents sent their boys
to monasteries, seminaries, ashrams
not out of pure devotion,
but often because they were poor—
they needed the money.
It was easy to say
they were walking a religious path.
But they forget—
the boys will one day
become a men,
and that men will have needs.
If not allowed social,
conjugal rights,
they may seek a path
abnormal, in covert.
So, parents and guardians—
don’t do that crime.
Humans are emotional beings.
Don’t fake that they
are demi-gods
or messengers of gods.
Don’t encourage crimes
in the name of virtue.
Let everybody decide for self.
Freedom of choice
is a basic human right.

We should all be able to make our own choices in what we want to do with our lives no matter what. Good job.
Once again your message is very true. You have expressed a clear way of thinking
So many crimes are committed in the name of religion and spiritually. It's just so sick. Loved your poem!
