Where the Ground Holds
For International Wetlands Day

This Wetlands Day, we offer a little gratitude for a place we seldom want to visit purposefully because of the inherent mud and mess.
But it's an indispensable ecosystem that sustains when unnoticed.ย
So today, we thank those among us who do - without being seen.
Gratitude for what absorbs, holds, and remains.

The way gratitude is extended to what absorbs and remains felt especially powerful. This isnโt just about land, itโs about people who hold space without recognition.
This poem reminds me that there is so much diversity in wetland life!
Great words! Itโs easy to take places like wetlands for granted.
Love the image and your words. Thank you once again for joining in
that was such a cute poem. And once again, love how you find, and or know what each day represents.
