Who's to Say?
for Poppy's # 10 Challenge

(Use the following words: splinter, drought, dart, key, & fate )
Who's to Say?
Perhaps it was the dirty splinter that caused all the commotion...
Or maybe just the condition of a heart drought of all emotion?
It could have been a deserved dart of justice served just the same:
All is fair in love and war, so who's to say or put it on to blame???
But the key to romance is lost on some in the world of second chances;
Neither destiny nor fate would bend their bows for Cupid's hot advances...

This was for Poppy's Challenge for October:
Just want to thank Poppy for her challenges. They always inspire me to write something I would otherwise, never dream of. She chooses the "right" words to draw the "extra" out from me. Thank you, Poppy!!! Please keep them coming for all of us.

Very good Shirley!!😊💕💗
I like this! Very creative use of the words, especially liking an emotionless heart to a drought
That would be very sad if there would not be no romances. Cupid 💘 need a better bow and arrow 😉
Hmmm… intrigue! Liked: “ It could have been a deserved dart of justice served just the same”💖
Heart drought of all emotions, I especially loved that!
I especially love that last line!
Excellent work!!!
That last line gets very mystical.
