You are the bomb

Find me a match

By Emily McGuffPublished 2 months ago 1 min read

I’ve always loved the scent of gasoline

A tinge of burning

Crawling up me

I crave it when you’re gone

I’ve always loved the smell of your cologne

Wrapped up woods and sweat

I crave it when you’re gone

The ticking grows louder

Tick Tick Tick Tick

Fire in my core

You are the bomb

At the center of my life

And I’m searching for a match

I’ve always craved fire, flames

Licking my feet

And loving the taste

The promise of you alights me

A blaze within my stomach

I’ve always craved the flames

The spritely dance

All else is fodder

The promise of you burns me up

The seconds tick faster

Tick Tick Tick Tick

Flares before my eyes

You are the bomb

At the center of my life

And I’m searching for a match
