your love vs mine

to love in centuries and lifetimes

I wanted you to love like I did

But you loved in weeks and months

And I loved in centuries and lifetimes

To you love was a hand in yours

To me it was a heart flatlining

To you it was a good morning text

To me it was worlds beginning and ending

You love like you’re picking flowers

And I love like I’m planting seeds

    Lovely!

  • Those last two lines are epic

  • Excellent poetic comparison beatifully stated

  • Beautiful poem… excellent contrasts/comparisons.✅

  • May gardens grow fresh in your wake & yield harvests of blessings, grace & love. I'm sensing a theme in these last three (perhaps prefaced by the previous two), & I feel I may have treated them a bit lightly. I am sorry for that. If you ever want to visit....
