"I have a broken heart" Taj said with arms clenched, closing her eyes strongly. "I have a broken soul," Blue answered, "you wronged me." "I know I did," Taj said, "I know I did." Blue sighed. "I know why you did it, though," Blue whispered. "You have a broken heart. From before this." "My heart arrived broken," Taj said, "I don't know why." "I do. You're sensitive." "I am." "You still got something innocent in you, love. But they broke you." "They did." " You still broke me, though." "Hey!" Taj said, frowning her eyes angrily", "You broke me too." Her voice came out faint, shivery.”Let's talk about it. Just a bit.” “What is there to talk about?” Taj's voice was a broken glass.

“They raped me! A bunch of weirdos from whatever high, with whichever “strength”, or whatdaya wanna call it, and they-” she shivered. Nevermind. Jus- just never mind. Never you mind-” “Hey, come here” Blue answered,a single tear coursing through her cheek. Blue hugged her. And kissed her on her brow. “Don't you ever feel less than. THEY are the monsters. Sure, you wronged me, but you were awfully wronged, too. Don't feel less than.” They stayed like this, breathing sharply and remained in a melancholic state for an hour or so.

"So, what are you doing afterwards?" Blue said, "want to start over?" Taj opened her eyes wide. She was apprehensive. "You sure?" "Hey, am I sure? No. I am not. But you've changed so much. You are not the girl I knew, but in a good way. You're more honest, open. Better. Or at least I hope so. And we took a break for what, half a year now?... Let's give it a go and see along the way. :) Taj was ecstatic. "Sure! Sure, you're the love of my-" "Ep ep ep ep! Slowly, woman, slowly." Taj said, slightly smiling. "Sure, WOMAN. why not." Her smile spread like wild fire now. She was smily all over. "Let's hang out," Taj said, "Where do you want to go?" Blue was smiling like she was hiding a secret. "Just come with me. You'll see." "Sure..." Taj replied, curious.

Blue took her and and dragged Taj down the streets. “He-ey! Slow down, you little monkey! We ought to slow down!” "Kay-Kay.” Blue answered, her dimples showing. And so, they slowed down. “What's the name of that barista again?” Blue whispered. “Ton - Tony, wha-why, I-” “He's here.” “Tooony”, Taj approached Ton, her high school boyfriend, “I didn't know you were in town. So, where are we going, then?” She was a tiny bit angry at Blue; Tony was her high school sweetheart, but now she's in love with Blue. She didn't want to mix an old love with a new(er) love. She wanted Blue.

She didn't know though that Ton would now be a brother. That Tony, Blue and Taj now will be a cohesive band, always laughing, sharing secrets and being lazy together. Well, not a situation where they need to “get off their bums”. A sacred kind of laziness, where they watch TV, sit with themselves and just talk, openly talk, or nap together.

They would talk about their traumas, too. Taj’s would be an open wound for some time, but her friends would help stitch it. And it will never go away. But she returned to life, bit by bit. Tony's trauma would be his strict parents and how they abused him verbally. How he never felt protected. How he never felt at home at his own home. Blue's wounds are from Taj's aggressive behavior in their common past. How she would've yelled at her, ghost her, roll eyes at her. How Blue wanted to love her, and Taj didn’t want her too. Taj would regret that deeply afterwards. She would tell that to Blue. Blue said she didn't know and hugged her. They would smile, closing-opening their eyes.

Oh, and where did they go eventually? To Taj and Blue's first kiss place. At the beach. But it was a beautiful beach nonetheless. And the sun was sunsetting. And Tony was a third wheel. Until he met some guy (yeah, lots of Bi's in this story, wa haa!), who later became his boyfriend, and guess what? :) that was the place for their first kiss, too. No fairytale endings, but a work in progress ending. Not a healed ending, but a “still healing” one. Nothing like a movie ending. Just life.
