Many people consider mental health taboo in some parts of the world, particularly in conservative cultures. However, this should not be true. This topic should be discussed openly and in safe places. It is crucial to take care of the mind, thoughts, feelings, and emotions during this time. We can improve our mental health by reducing stress, worry, and fatigue. There is no single solution and each person's needs are different. If you have any questions, consult your psychiatrist or medical professional. There are general things that can help you stay healthy, mind, body, and soul.

Protect Your Thoughts

Images and words are what make up thoughts. They can also translate into a physical state. My belief is that emotions can be a function our thoughts. It is common to feel overwhelmed by fear and despair when you think about unfortunate events. If you think of positive things and feel happy, you may also feel this way. You can guard your thoughts by avoiding negative thoughts and words. It is not easy, but it is possible with persistence. It will become easier over time. Protecting your thoughts means avoiding content that can cause negative emotions or mental stress. Do not listen to or watch content that makes you feel out of sorts.

Practice Gratitude

Keep a gratitude journal. You can write down the things that you are grateful for each day. It will help you to reflect on what is most important and keep you in touch with the things that really matter. You will be able to let go the things that you can't control and accept what is. You can also keep a gratitude journal and make little notes about what you are grateful to God for. After a while, such as a year, or when the jar has reached its maximum capacity, empty the jar and go through all the notes. This will allow you to discover how blessed you truly are. You will be reminded every day of all the good things you have experienced by reading the notes.

Talk to Someone

It can be very therapeutic to talk while another person listens. It can feel like we're carrying all of our experience on our shoulders when we leave our voices unheard for long periods. It can be very liberating to talk to someone who is concerned enough to protect your information. Talking to someone who cares enough to protect your information can be a great way to get rid of any fears, anxiety, or doubts you may have. Sometimes, talking to someone does not necessarily mean that we want them to solve our problems or answer all of our questions. Sometimes it's because we want to be heard, and recognized. You can join a local support group if you don't have anyone you can trust and talk to. Research your local resources for mental health.

Keep Moving

Exercise is great for stress relief. Imagine going on a bad day, then running afterwards to get rid of the negative energy and tension.

A healthy lifestyle is good for your health. Exercises like biking, walking, and jogging produce endorphins that make you happy and healthy. It is easy to become complacent and live a sedentary life because of the shift towards staying home. To maintain your mental health, you should engage in daily or weekly exercise. Get your heart beating and blood flowing.

Eat for Wellness

You can eat your own way to happiness, more energy, glowing skin, and a healthier mind. Your diet has a direct impact on your mind. To keep your mind healthy, you will need to eat more fruits and vegetables. While we all know that unhealthy foods taste best, they can also be very harmful to our health. Food can be either a pill, or a poison. Food can be a medicine. However, this does not mean that you should eat in a monotonous or boring way. Although I do not recommend eating a lot of fast food, it is okay to indulge in a little bit of guilt. It should be done in moderation, or else it could lead to a problem if you eat unhealthy food all the time just for the pleasure.
