Be Your Own Jedi Master

May The Force Be With You

Trust The Force We Must - Yoda

Do you trust your intuition? Using it to tune in to your life and pay attention to what is really going on in you, and around you, requires introspection, patience, and time. Grand Jedi Master Yoda had it right. After all, he became a Jedi Master at 96 years old and trained his first student at 800 years old. He gave it time. While we humans don’t have 800 years, or maybe we do, you too can develop and master Yoda’s Jedi skills to enhance your life and grow your innate ability to trust your gut.

Yoda was exceptional in mastery of The Force, Wisdom, and Light Saber combat. I challenge you to embrace this beautiful life you have, pay attention to the force within you, and confront the dark side. Take each day and lesson with integrity, honesty, and humility to learn, grow, and enrich the world. You’ve got this. Go for it!

“Train yourself to let go of everything you fear to lose.” ~ Yoda

Master of The Force – Instinct – Tuning In

Mastering the Force requires walking the talk. While Yoda was highly force attuned, he was not perfect. It took practice and training, focus and concentration to master his skills and develop the precision of making wise choices. Do not let others dissuade you from your Knowing. First instincts are correct instincts.

“Size matters not. Look at me. Judge me by my size, do you? Hmmm? Hmm. And well you should not. For my ally is The Force, and a powerful ally it is.” ~ Yoda to Luke Skywalker

“Master Yoda, what is it?” ~ Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker to Grand Master Yoda. "A disturbance in the Force. Intruders there will be, in this Temple." ~ Yoda

Develop Wisdom

Teach younger generations: ensure they learn from their experiences, not yours. Yoda created a fine balance when he taught Luke Skywalker for the creation of a New Jedi Order. The importance of community is as crucial as individual needs and the whole must be considered. Act as a diplomat and practice negotiation before force. Know that the dark side is both external and internal. This is where the battle lies.

“Secret, shall I tell you? Grand Master of Jedi order am I. Won this job in a raffle I did, think you? ‘How did you know, how did you know, Master Yoda?’ Master Yoda knows these things. His job it is.” ~ Yoda

“Master Yoda, do you think it will really come to war?” ~Palpatine to Yoda “Hmmm. The dark side clouds everything. Impossible to see, the future is.” ~ Yoda

Light-Saber Combat – Mind and Body Acting as One

Yoda was a sword master in the Form IV techniques. Strength, speed, and agility were as important in the mind as in the body. He allowed The Force to flow through his body to overcome physical limitations. With the ease of a teenager, Yoda could masterfully run, jump, spin, do summersaults, leaping strikes, and acrobatics with precision and keenness of insight. Master the art of striking quickly before the opponent can react and escape before the opponent can retaliate. Cause no or little harm by defending only when necessary and as a last resort to diplomacy and negotiation.

“This style of fighting was taught to me by Master Yoda. In most cases, you will not use it as a first resort, but you’ll find it often works as a last resort.” ~ Luke Skywalker

“When you look at the dark side, careful you must be…For the dark side looks back.” ~ Yoda

The key to tapping into the Yoda Factor and trusting your instincts is what he referred to as Battle Meditation. It’s that contemplative, clear, visionary place that keeps one focused, present, and in the moment. With this awareness, a breeze on the skin fluttering the tiny hairs is palpable, multiple sounds of birds chirping, neighbours arguing, and, music in the background, can all be heard with precision recall. Yoda was so tuned in to his surroundings that he could lift the morale of thousands of his warriors while weakening the spirit of his opponents by simply tapping into the Force.

Trust your instincts, develop your wisdom, and integrate the mind and body to masterfully develop your Yoda and share it with the world. Your light is meant to shine brightly, so we can all light up the world with peace, harmony, and collective oneness.

“Do, or do not. There is no try.” “Into the garbage chute flyboy!” ~ Yoda to Luke Skywalker
