March:
(a) In March 2025, China's crude steel production reached 92.84 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 4.6%.
(b) Pig iron production was 75.29 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 3.1%.
(c) Steel production amounted to 134.42 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 8.3%.
(d) In March, China's steel exports totaled 10.456 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 5.7%.
(e) In March, China's steel imports amounted to 501,000 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 18.8%.
January to March:
(a) From January to March, China's crude steel production reached 259.33 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 0.6%.
(b) Pig iron production was 216.28 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 0.8%.
(c) Steel production amounted to 358.74 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 6.1%.
(d) From January to March, cumulative steel exports totaled 27.429 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 6.3%.
(e) From January to March, cumulative steel imports amounted to 1.55 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 11.3%.

The European Union plans to levy two parts of tariffs on the United States: one on the 15th of this month and the other on the 15th of next month
