The Mouse in the Trap who Refused to Die with a Life Lesson for Us
I met my new neighbor last fall, Martha, a middle-aged woman, kindly, soft spoken, always wearing an apron of some kind. She had moved in as a live-in companion for our next door neighbor, a friendly bachelor called Jack who lived down the road.

At the beginning of last summer, it was unthinkable that one incident could change his life’s mantra but so it did from one event to a total scope of lifeforces around him before unseen and uncounted. In fact, the number One didn’t make sense anymore in his new world.

How Do We Live in an Anti-Ecological Environment … Four Differences and One Answer
If Ecology rules in a certain environment, where does Anti-Ecology rule? I still vividly remember driving through the orchards in early spring in our region celebrated for fruit growing like apples, cherries, apricots, plums and more. The farmers were driving their tractors hitched to large spray tanks up and down rows of trees. They were dressed safely, with necessity I presume, in moon suits...covered from head with cap, mask and goggles to feet with heavy foam insulated boots. Not an inch of skin was exposed while they sprayed probably some kinds of fungicidal chemicals to avoid plant diseases and insect pests on the trees from the time flowers were opening to several times before the fruit was picked.

In Praise of Walt Disney’s Nature Advocacy and What May Be Missing with 4 Questions
There is no doubt that Walt Disney was an advocate of nature and conservation. Even at the beginning, he brought live deer into the studio so Bambi could be characterized correctly. He brought to life animals, birds and fish photographed in living color to capture every move and emotion. He helped us to walk with elephants, hunt with jungle cats, swarm with dolphins and wait patiently as penguins survived another blizzard. There is no doubt through his nature documentaries and feature films, we were educated, affiliated, bonded and even protective of our wildlife neighbors.

When Creative Writing Mixes with Science to Express Facts and Feelings about Earth’s Ecology
“We are at a unique stage in our history. Never before have we had such an awareness of what we are doing to the planet, and never before have we had the power to do something about that. Surely we all have a responsibility to care for our Blue Planet. The future of humanity and indeed, all life on earth, now depends on us… Sir David Attenborough

Why Does Grannie Play Such an Important Role in this Teen Girl’s Story?. Top Story - January 2022.
One of my nieces asked me, “Why are you writing a book about teen age girls when you are so old?” “Good question,” I said. ”Because I have a lifetime to share with a teenager that is so long, rich and full of flavor with only a few years left. The teen girl has a short, thin, hungry timeline with many years to travel with less experience but perhaps she can find some maturity from mine.”

One Assumption Allowed at the Crossroads for Teen Girls on Social Media
“But here is the strangest paradox of Time that it can only be managed in a very small-time frame called TODAY. And TODAY can sometimes be sparked by a tinier matter of CHOICE.” Teen Girl Faces Time in the Sand

What If, Every Teen Girl Can Manage One Common Value on Social Media?
As a retired teacher, shocked at many online and offline scenarios of teen girls; always grounded in helping young people realize their potential, I began to research and write about survival in virtual spaces. Sadly, I came across too many stories from news, research and personal experiences about cyber bullying, sexual texting, drug addictions, unwanted pregnancies, family breakdowns and even suicides. I kept reading about shattered dreams but there was only emptiness with no clarity or resolutions to escape this unprecedented social media invasion.
