When the State Kills
Last month, Minneapolis became the backdrop for a shocking sequence of events that have shaken not only Minnesota but the conscience of this entire nation. Rule of Law or Banana Republic?
Never before in American history has a sitting president or former president been arrested for criminal activities. This may change this week as New York authorities are preparing to indict former president Donald J. Trump on an obscure, yet illegal, activity involving disclosure of funds to pay a call girl. Whether these were business funds, personal funds, or campaign funds, remains in question--as does whether or not it was properly reported.

I Hate Housework
I really cannot stand a messy house, but I really, really hate housework. There isn’t much space to clean, and I go out of my way to make sure things stay in place as much as is reasonably possible. It’s the kitchen counter that creates my nightmare.

Facts Matter
Facts really do matter. Social media makes it easy to create content on any subject matter. Sharing an opinion is the right of any creator and should not be censored. Masquerading content as news, however, carries a greater opportunity to spread misinformation faster than any time in history. Other content is produced by individuals who genuinely believe that what they are sharing is true, but they failed to do enough research.

USS Indianapolis Heroes
I've always had a fascination about the saga of the USS Indianapolis, an American heavy cruiser that was torpedoed in the waning days of WWII. This story has captivated me since the first time I heard about the sailors that survived five agonizing days afloat in the vast Pacific Ocean, hundreds succumbing to dehydration, sharks, and wounds.

Experience the Exodus REAL Team
The silence was deafening. Over one hundred men, and a dozen staff members, yielded their complete attention to a single speaker. No yawning. No outbursts. No disrespect at all. The powerful message rested not so much in the individual stories they shared, but rather in the emotional attachment they projected in an effort to etch the experience on to the hearts and minds of these men.

Remembering Merritt Butrick
One of Hollywood’s brightest stars was snatched away from us 32 years ago. Merritt Butrick was my friend. He was genuinely hilarious, quite possibly the funniest human being I have ever met. He was so care-free that it was hard to imagine any of life’s troubles ever bothered him. Merritt loved life and was determined to experience it to the fullest.
